What You’ll Study

TOTAL CREDITS - 12-18 credits per semester

Enroll in courses alongside both international students as well as local Korean students. Many of the university's course offerings are taught in English so students will have plenty of course availability to fulfill major or general education requirements. Students will select 4-5 courses per term and most courses are offered for 3 US credits.

Interested students also have the opportunity to enroll in Korean language classes, offered from the beginner level through advanced. Students will have the option to test into the higher level Korean language courses after a placement test administered after arrival on-site.

Study at one of the "Ivy League" universities of Asia–Korea University! Due to Korea University's top accreditation, some subject areas are more competitive to enroll and students are encouraged to apply early for Business, Media, and International Studies courses. As space is limited in these areas, students are encouraged to have backup courses approved by your home university.

Some subject areas are not open to study abroad students. These options include Nursing, Pharmacy, Medicine, Law, Division of Information Security, Exercise Science, Teacher Education, as well as Art & Design courses. However, that is not to say that these areas are completely restricted. Students are welcome to enroll in education, health, and science courses!

CREDIT INFORMATION

Most courses offered at Korea University are equal to 3 US credits and 45 total contact hours per term. The final allocation of credits is determined by the student's home university and is generally based on the total number of contact hours for each course, subject to their discretion.
