Recently called the “World’s Best Downtown" and "Australia's Hippest City", Brisbane is the capital of the state of Queensland and the 3rd largest city in Australia. Home to more than two million people, nearly 30% of its inhabitants were born outside of Australia. Brisbane is a vibrant, expanding city, offering world-class education, a beautiful climate and superb lifestyle. Experience one of Queensland’s gems through study abroad in Brisbane with API!

API students have the opportunity to study abroad in Brisbane at one of Griffith University’s campuses in beautiful Queensland. Since opening its doors in 1970, Griffith University has come to be regarded as one of Australia’s most innovative universities, and one of the most influential in the Asia-Pacific region. Griffith was the first university in Australia to offer degrees in Asian studies and environmental studies and is a leader in many other fields as well.

The Nathan campus hosts more than 13,000 students and offers degrees in business and government, engineering and information technology, environment, humanities and languages, law, and science and aviation. The campus, situated in tranquil bushland on the edge of Toohey Forest, is a short walk or bus ride from the Mt Gravatt campus or a 20- minute drive from the Brisbane CBD. Nathan is home to world-class expertise in the environment, corporate sustainability, Asian studies and the emerging biosciences.

Adjacent to Nathan campus with panoramic views of Brisbane, the Mt. Gravatt campus hosts more than 4,000 students and offers degrees in criminology and criminal justice, education and applied theatre and psychology. The campus is also the base for research into critical social issues, including education and suicide prevention. Like Nathan, the campus is situated on the edge of Toohey Forest with access to downtown Brisbane through varied public transportation.

Located in Brisbane’s picturesque South Bank Parklands, the South Bank campus encompasses the Queensland College of Art, the Queensland Conservatorium, and the Griffith Film School, with a population of 3,400 students. Ideally positioned in Brisbane’s cultural heart, the campus is a 10-minute walk from the Brisbane CBD and is adjacent to the Queensland Art Gallery, the Gallery of Modern Art, the State Library, the Queensland Museum, the Queensland Performing Arts Centre and the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. Students have access to state-of-the-art facilities and teachers at the cutting-edge of their field. Students will find courses in music, performing arts, visual and creative arts on this campus.
