International Internship Course in Sicily

The goal of the course is to support students during their internship experience and provide the groundwork for professional future careers. The subjects and tasks will increase students' understanding of themselves, the world of work, and succeeding at work in addition to giving them a cross cultural comparative vision of work. The emphasis of this course is on topics that students are expected to grow and improve during the semester through in-class seminars and practical application, including work ethic, leadership, communication, multiculturalism, media and politics, and gender and the workplace.

Our internship program includes safe and secure housing in the cost of the program fee. Participants in Syracuse will reside in a shared, furnished apartment or in a single bedroom with a local host family.

Internship participants should expect the accommodation to be centrally located and easily accessible to public transportation. Each participant’s commute will vary, as internship placements are located in different areas in each location. Average commute times range from 30 minutes up to an hour. Housing placements may be mixed gender (by apartment, not by bedroom). Participants will receive their confirmed housing assignment approximately three weeks prior to departure.
